Excellent question. The first way to explain me is to say I’m a father of two and a husband. My family brings me joy.
I’ve spent 18 years growing as a professional at a small business moving from finance admin and part time video specialist to Vice President of User Experience. My background is video production, but I specialize in process and procedure that maximizes efficiency. Efficiency is critical in all aspects of life, and it’s especially important when running and working at a small business.
Prior to my current job, I was a bank teller at a regional bank. Just prior to leaving that position to move to a new state, I was on track to be enrolled in the leadership program. Working with customers was the best part of that job, showing them that customer service is more than just processing their transactions, but caring about their lives in addition to their transactions.
It’s not just my previous jobs that have a bearing on who I am. Some small things: I’m a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan. I played baseball past high school and give credit to baseball to my understanding that failure isn’t a bad thing. Succeeding at only 3/10 on the baseball field, made you a good player, but knowing that there is something to be learned from the other 70% that moves you to be a better player, employee, and person.
